Wrist Pain

Winter Blues And Carpal Tunnel Triggers

With the change in season and a drop in temperature, those with carpal tunnel syndrome are feeling a lot more than the winter blues. For those more than eight million people impacted with carpal tunnel each year, the winter months can bring a lot of pain.

There are obvious tips and tricks to easing your pain like keeping hands and limbs warm by wearing layers and gloves in the colder months. But what else can you do?

The Mayo Clinic has a few suggestions.

Avoid activities that worsen symptoms or take frequent breaks. The snow may be falling, but that doesn’t mean you need to stress your joints with shoveling and snow blowing. Pace yourself to complete outdoor tasks and layer up.

Wrist splinting. A common solution includes the wrapping and splinting of the wrist at night. The brace looks like a fingerless glove and firmly holds the wrist in place. But avoid making the splint too tight.

Carpal tunnel sufferers may also want to physically lighten their load in the winter months. While the repetitive motion of clearing snow may trigger pain, the weight of the snow is also a huge factor. Combined with the cold temperatures, the carpal tunnel sufferer is sure to feel the after-effects of snow cleanup.

Other therapies exist to help ease carpal tunnel symptoms.

Carpal Tunnel and Gladiator Therapeutics Far Infrared Device

If you’ve tried the aforementioned remedies, it may be time to snuggle up with the Gladiator Therapeutics Far Infrared Device.

Using the device for just 30 minutes a day can help with carpal tunnel treatment and reduce inflammation, along with reducing or eliminating the painful symptoms.

Our patented ceramics in the device absorb the body’s ambient heat and convert that heat into far infrared energy in the form of photons. Those photons are then redirected back to the body where they cause water clusters in plasma to vibrate and break apart. Reducing the cluster size makes blood circulation more efficient, and improved circulation has a host of benefits, including a reduction in inflammation and pain.

So, what’s far infrared energy?

Merriam-Webster defines far infrared as the longer wavelengths of radiation in the infrared spectrum and especially to those between 10 and 1000 micrometers. What does that really mean? Basically, the far infrared energy can be physically felt as heat.

To learn more about how the Gladiator Therapeutics Far Infrared Device can help reduce pain caused by carpal tunnel syndrome, you can read reviews like this.

“I have suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome for the past several years. I had trouble riding a bike, typing, and even blow drying my hair. Concerned, I found some exercises online. They did alleviate some of the pain, but did not eliminate it. Then I heard about the Gladiator Therapeutics Device. I purchased a device and started wearing it at night while I slept. Within several weeks of using it, I noticed a significant decrease in my pain level. I can now enjoy riding my bike and have resumed other activities as well.” – T. Baustien
